This was a fun little prop I whipped up for little brothers 1st birthday photo shoot. It is simple to make and you can make it as long or short as you like. And the color possibilities are endless! I am happily sharing this pattern with you.
For each individual pennant:
Chain 13
Row 1: HDC in 2nd chain from hook, HDC across, chain 2, turn (12 HDC)
Row 2: HDC decrease, 8 HDC, HDC decrease in last two stitches, chain 2, turn
Row 3: HDC across, chain 2, turn (10 HDC)
Row 4: HDC decrease, 6 HDC, HDC decrease, chain 2, turn
Row 5: HDC across, chain 2, turn (8 HDC)
Row 6: HDC decrease, 4 HDC, DC decrease, chain 2, turn
Row 7: HDC across, chain 2, turn (6 HDC)
Row 8: HDC decrease, 2 HDC, HDC decrease, chain 2, turn
Row 9: HDC across, chain 2, turn (4 HDC)
Row 10: 2 HDC decreases, chain 2, turn
Row 11: HDC decrease, chain 1, turn
Single crochet around the entire pennant, join, fasten off.
To string pennants together:
Chain 20
Connect first pennant by SC into the top row (the wide end)
Chain 8, then connect your next pennant.
Continue till all pennants are connect. Chain 20 at the end.

I love this! I just made a few of these with variegated yarn so i didn't do the single crochet around the edge. I just added a half double crochet after the last stitch which made them a little more pointed. I'm so glad i found your blog and i'm looking foreward to trying more of your patterns!
