Happy Easter, friends!
As we celebrate new life, fresh starts, and blooming things, I’m also excited to share something I’ve been quietly working on — a heartfelt project just in time for Earth Day!
This Love Earth C2C Crochet Square is just the beginning of something bigger. It will be the start of a blanket that matches another piece of this project that I will debut on Earth Day.
Here is the pattern for the C2C Earth with a sweet heart in the center. I am using Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Turqua (Blue), Spring Green, and Cherry Red. The Background is Red Heart with Love in color Eggshell but feel free to choose any color you’d like or have in your yarn stash.
Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver in Turqua, Spring Green, and Cherry Red (you only need one skein of each)
– Red Heart with Love in color Eggshell (only one skein)

Finished Size: Approximately 18 x18 inches

If you are new to the Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Crochet technique, let me explain a little bit about it. You can take a pixel graph and turn it into a crocheted piece. By starting in one corner of the graph (the lower right hand is most common place to start), you will crochet diagonally in rows until you get to the other corner. One pixel square = a chain 2 + 3 HDC stitches. Please note that I am using HDC stitches for the C2C instead of DC.

You can use your Earth C2C square as the front of a pillow, wall hanging, or add a large border and make it into a blanket! I plan to make this into a sweet baby blanket and will have the final project posted as soon as I’m done stitching it.
