I’m still working on my Christmas Friends C2C Window Blanket, but you can’t rush perfection! And gosh darn it, this one is turning out pretty dang perfect if I do say so myself!
Here’s a little sneak peek at how the Christmas Friends C2C Window Blanket is coming together! The four character squares are now joined, and I’ve added a wider white border to create the look of window panes. A brown “wooden” frame and reverse single crochet edging finished off the window look beautifully. I’ll share all the joining and border details when I reveal the finished blanket (coming soon!)

I LOVE how it turned out!
But of course, the window needed a little Christmas decorating! These simple crochet holly leaves and berries are going in the corners, and I loved them so much that I decided they deserved their own little pattern.

The full blanket reveal is coming soon, but I couldn’t resist giving you a little sneak peek! And since these holly leaves and berries are such a quick little make, I thought they deserved their own pattern too.
Use this Crochet Holly Berry Appliqué to embellish blankets, hats, scarves, stockings, gift bags, wreaths, garlands and all kinds of Christmas crochet projects. Make the complete cluster with two leaves and three berries, or use the pieces individually.

Round 2 (the leaf points): slip stitch into the next stitch. *Chain 3, SC in first chain made, skip one stitch, slip stitch inot the next stitch join, slip stitch into next stitch.*
Repeat from * to * 2 more times to create 3 points along the first side of the leaf.
Slips stitch around the curved end of the leaf until you reach the opposite side (about 4 slip stitches).
Create 3 more points along the second side by repeating round 2. After completing the third point on the second side, join with a slip stitch at the base of the top point.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Holly Berries – Make 3

Assembly
Arrange two leaves so they fan outward from the corner or center of your project. Position three berries where the leaves overlap, then use the long yarn tails to sew everything securely in place.
And that’s it! A quick little crochet detail that adds such a fun handmade touch to your Christmas projects.
Stay tuned for the full Christmas C2C Window Blanket reveal! I cannot wait to show you how all four Christmas friends (and these little holly corners) come together.
