If you need a last minute holiday gift or the perfect hostess gift you have come the right place! These Peppermint swirl glass magnets are quick to make so you can make enough for multiple people at once.
Materials:
– Peppermint printable <—- click link to download template (I’m trying something new here)
– Round glass tiles (found at craft stores)
– Round Magnets (found at craft stores)
– 1″ circle punch (you could also cut by hand)
– Mod Podge
– Hot Glue gun
Note: you could also you E6000 glue instead of mod podge and hot glue.
First print out your peppermint spirals onto card stock paper. It doesn’t have to be card stock but that is what I recommend. You could also print out other designs or use fun scrapbook paper for this project. Then punch out your spirals. You could also cut them out by hand.
Now paint some mod podge onto the bottom of your glass tile and stick the paper (print side) onto the mod podge. Press down and try to make sure there aren’t any big bubbles. Let dry for at least a couple minutes.
Now put a dab of hot glue onto the back of the tile/paper and stick your magnet on!
That’s it! You can package it up by gluing some washers (or just use tape) to a piece of card stock and stick the magnets in place. Put in a clear bag and close with a piece of scrapbook paper folder over and stapled on. I got the peppermint scrapbook paper (and other fun holiday themed papers int he Doodlebug Home for the Holidays scrapbook paper pad.
Be sure to make a set for yourself! They are perfect for holding holiday cards to your fridge 🙂
