Y is for Yak: Crochet Yak Applique

October 26, 2014

Here is Day 25 of my 26 Days of Crochet Animal Alphabet Appliques!

Y is for Yak
Wow I can’t believe there is only one more day left of my animal appliqués! That went by too fast. I’m not sure where else you would use a Yak appliqué unless you are crocheting the alphabet but maybe a couple of you will find another use for it 🙂

Materials:
– Worsted weight yarn. I used Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in chocolate brown, white, black and a little bit of beige.
– Size G Crochet Hook (the bigger the hook the bigger the appliqué and vice versa)
– Tapestry needle

Magic Ring Tutorial
Sl St = Slip Stitch
SC =  Single Crochet
SC Decrease  = Single Crochet Decrease
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet

    I'm really loving the crochet along! I'm a bit sad it's ending, but I'm going to use them as appliqués for an ABC quilt… I'll be honest the quilt idea came second to just enjoying making the animals 😉 thank you for the patterns 🙂

    Thank you so much for these wonderful animals. I have been crocheting “alphabet animals” for an area day care. The patterns here are much simpler than others I’ve worked out for myself.

    Your talent is much appreciated.

    It’s fantastic to be back on your blog; I have never been in months. This is the work I’ve been anticipating for a long time mapquest driving directions. I’d like to use this paper to finish a faculty assignment on the same subject as yours.
