Teeny Tiny Crochet Pumpkin Pattern

August 28, 2012

Fall is just around the corner and it’s my favorite season! I am already working on some fall crafts to decorate my home and one of the first things I did was make little crochet pumpkins. This is a simple little pattern that leaves you with a tiny little ridged pumpkins.

Teeny Tiny Crochet Pumpkin Pattern

Materials:
-Vanna’s Choice Yarn
-Size G (4.0mm) Crochet Hook
-Tapestry Needle
-Poly-fil

Abbreviations:
SC= Single Crochet
HDC= Half Double Crochet

Working in back loops only…
Chain 11,
Row 1: SC in second chain from hook, SC in next, HDC in next 6, SC in last two, chain 1, turn
Row 2: SC across (10 SC)
Row 3-17:  Repeat rows 1-2. Leave long tail.

Stitch together row 17 to beginning row.

Just like you would begin to make a single crochet decrease, stitch together one end of the pumpkin. Keep looping the tapestry need under two stitches at a time until it closes. Stuff with poly-fil and do the same to the other side. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Pumpkin Stem:
Magic ring, 4 SC in magic ring,
2 SC in first stitch, SC in next, repeat around (6 sc)
Continue to SC around until stem is to the desired length

I added on a leaf and coil as well. I like THIS free leaf pattern.

Pumpkin Coil:
Chain 10 (or more/less for desired length)
2 SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain.

*** You may make and sell products from my patterns but if you do I ask that you link back to my post. Please do not copy and post this pattern and claim it as your own. Please do not re-publish photo’s as your own.***

    At the end of Row 2, do you chain 1? Or am I doing something wrong?

    OOOH, the pumpkin is so cute.. thank you for this…I want to make a holiday tree with a bare branch in a pot with these pumpkins on it and maybe some silk leaves and little twinkle lights of orange; but the link to the leaf free pattern for the pumpkin takes me someplace on Facebook, not to a leaf pattern… can you give me the pattern for the leaf? Thanks so much…The pumpkin is on your page at this address with the faulty link for the leaf: http://repeatcrafterm.wpengine.com/2012/08/teeny-tiny-crochet-pumpkin-pattern.html
