Play Food Felt Pizza

November 4, 2013

We’ve been eating a lot of pizza lately. I like to say it’s because it’s football season and pizza makes an awesome game day meal, but I think it might be because I’m not completely back into the swing of things post baby and that includes preparing meals. In any case, the other day we got the boys their own Mini Murph pizzas from Papa Murphy’s and they came in these cute little pizza boxes. The crafter in me had to save the boxes for a little project 🙂 Play food is very popular in our house so I thought I would make a felt pizza complete with toppings so they could customize their own pizzas in their play kitchen. I created a template so you can easily make your own felt pizzas as well!

You will need:
-Felt: 2 sheets of beige, one white, one black, one green, one red
-Hot glue gun
-Scissors
-Template

Felt Pizza Template

Starting with the outer most circle, use this to cut 2 circles from the beige felt for your crust. The next circle will be a red circle for the sauce and the wavy circle should be cut from white felt for your cheese.

Once you have these cut out, stack them onto of each other and make one cut vertically and one cut horizontally so now you have 4 pieces. Now hot glue each pie piece together exactly how they are stacked. The two crusts makes it a bit firmer.

Next, cut out the pepperoni, green pepper, olives, and mushroom. Of course feel free to add in your own favorite toppings! I found THESE little plastic mini cups with lids at Walmart. They are perfect for storing and sorting the pizza toppings!
Now play and “eat!”

We’re Hawks fans too!!! Will be sporting our jerseys Thursday! I cannot print the pizza template from scribd. I am using an iPad app which may be why. Are you able to email me it?

It took a lot of time to start repeated lunar expeditions through the efforts of NASA, https://orbitaltoday.com/2022/09/12/how-many-people-have-walked-on-the-moon/. The stimulating factor is that the responsibilities of the implementation of new scientific research on the moon are shared by other space agencies and commercial contractors.
