Pick up some extra cans of cranberry sauce when you are at the grocery store this month! I’ve been seeing them stacked on end aisles and at discounted prices as well. You can use them for other dinners…not just Thanksgiving! Like in this yummy crock pot cranberry chicken. And it only has 4 ingredients!! I pretty much followed THIS recipes from allrecipes.com.
Ingredients:
– 1 (14oz) can whole cranberry sauce
– 1 (16oz) bottle of Catalina dressing (I ended up using about 3/4 of a bottle)
– 1 envelope onion soup mix
– 4 – 6 chicken breast fillets
You can also add a cup or two of fresh cranberries. It would give it more texture as the canned version doesn’t have many chunks.
Directions:
1. Put chicken breasts in first. cover with the rest of the ingredients.
2. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
I only used 4 chicken breast fillets and had a TON of sauce left. I could have easily cooked more!
I really loved the combination of flavors in this chicken! Tender, sweet, and simple! I will definitely be making this again. I hope you try it!
