It’s that time of year again… the time where we plant our vegetable garden! We have had a lot of success with tomatoes and squash last year and in addition to those we planted pumpkins, peas, and strawberries.
I made some new garden markers using craft wooden spoons. These spoons are made for crafting and I purchased them in bulk from Amazon. I bet you could also find something similar at the craft store or maybe even the dollar store. I think it would be too expensive to buy wooden spoons from a kitchen store for this project.
To create the picture and writing, you can use my template or create your own using clip art and your font of choice. You can also freehand the picture and writing if you would like but I like it when everything looks neat and tidy 🙂
You can download a printable PDF of the template HERE
Once you have printed out your template/pictures, tape them to the wooden spoon. I used the back of the spoon for a smoother surface. With a ball point pen, trace over the writing and the picture pressing hard! This will leave an indent in the wooden spoon.

Wonderful idea for mothersday or fathersday. And children can make these garden markers with a litttle help.

I wish for you an great weekend, Margaret

Love this idea.
Just the other day I came across a package of spoons, that I've long forgotten what project they were for. I'm so going to do this.
very clever!
These are so clever and cute! I adore your creativity (and your frugalness to boot!).
