Today is my birthday! And I am celebrating with this awesome Yarn Ball Birthday Cake made by a local sweet shop called Cinderella Cakes! Isn’t it fabulous?! I love the big fondant yarn balls and the buttercream basketweave base. They did such a great job and I can’t wait to dive into this masterpiece with my family tonight! Even though it’s almost too pretty to eat!
A few days ago I had a pre-birthday celebration that my husband planned. He said he specifically told the grocery store bakery to put a crochet hook on it but they ended up piping on knitting needles. I appreciate the effort and it is still an amazing cake! Wish I had taken a picture before the candles were inserted and blown out. Don’t bother counting them… There are 36 + 1 for good luck 🙂
If you are celebrating a birthday soon, don’t forget about these other sweet treats as well as some non-calorie options!
