Have you seen the new Yarnspirations Close Stitched Family Lookbook?! It’s full of gorgeous knit and crochet garments for the whole family! Perfect for the Fall season! All made with Caron Simply Soft which has such a nice texture, stretch, and a rich color selection that lends well to wearables. I was immediately drawn to the Caron Child’s Crochet Crew Neck Cardigan and when I spotted the Lavender Blue color, I immediately knew this was going to be a piece my little Zoe could wear often!
Don’t let the pattern intimidated you. It’s actually worked in a variety of smaller pieces that you stitch together at the end! I’ve included a few pictures of the process (below) to help you wrap your mind around it. And look how beautiful and unique the stitches look. But guess what, it’s merely a combination of SC and DC that alternate! Really a nice twist on a simple stitch! The pearl buttons I found at Michael’s Craft Store. Although I love how you could really use any kind of buttons to put a unique spin on your sweater.
These are the pieces you will create. The back panel, two front panels, and two sleeves (not worked in rounds, you will stitch those together).
This is how you position them to stitch together.
Now watch it take form!
Can’t wait to see how it fits Zoe when she gets her cast off (notice her bulky right arm?).
See more about her broken arm HERE.
I hope you are inspired by this project and the rest of the Caron Close Stitched Family Lookbook! I know you will be able to find your next Fall project and outfit within it’s pages. Let us know what you create! Tag @Yarnspirations and @RepeatCrafterMe on social media!
