Crochet Leprechaun Hat Headband

March 2, 2017

LepHeadband1

I have to give credit to my husband for this one! After I made the Cat in the Hat Headband, he said I should make a St. Patrick’s Day version. An hour later this Crochet Leprechaun Hat Headband was hot off my hook! Pretty much the same tutorial as the Cat in the Hat Headband (see it HERE) but I am posting the updated pattern below.

Materials:
– Bernat Super Value yarn in Green, Black, and Yellow. Shop all colors at Yarnspirations.com
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Headband (I used Goody brand). Target, Dollar Tree, and Walmart, are a few of the many stores that carry headbands. I used THESE ONES.
– Poly-fil fiber stuffing
– Tapestry Needle
– Hot Glue Gun

Abbreviations:
Magic Ring
SC = Single Crochet
SC Decrease = Single Crochet Decrease
DC = Double Crochet

Bottom piece for hat:

Crocheting over the headband:
With green yarn, SC over the headband starting at one ends and continue SC until you get to the other end. Use a dab of hot glue on either end to secure yarn and keep it from falling off the headband.

Sew hat onto top of headband!

    constantly i used to read smaller content which also clear their motive,
    and that is also happening with this paragraph which I am reading at this
    time.

    I had to leave off some of the stitches on the first black row it was too wavy. So every 5 stitches I only did one. The problem was I used red heart for the green and simply soft for the black which is a light 4 if you ask me! Great little pattern works up quickly!
