Easy Crochet Apple

August 21, 2018

I couldn’t let my kids go to school empty handed on the first day of school! I whipped up these Easy Crochet Apples with Bernat Blanket Yarn and they really took only about 10 minutes each!  My kids have been blessed with so many wonderful educators throughout preschool and elementary school and we are excited for the year ahead with their new teachers as they go into 4th, 2nd, and Kindergarten! Yes, Zoe is already a Kindergartener, can you believe it?!

Materials:
– Bernat Blanket Brights Yarn in Race Car Red. Shop HERE at Yarnspirations.com
– Bernat Softee Chunky in Dark Taupe (any chunky brown yarn will work for the stem)
– Bernat Super Value in Lush Green (any worsted weight yarn will work for the leaf)
– Size I Crochet Hook
– Poly-fil Fiber Stuffing
– 9mm Safety Eyes
– Bit of black yarn for the smile
– Tapestry needle

Easy Crochet Apple Pattern:
with red yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, pull tight, join to first SC, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 3: SC SC in first stitch, SC in next 9, 2 SC in next, SC in remaining 9, join, chain 1 (22 SC)
Round 4-7: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (22 SC)
At this point, add in you safety eyes and stitch on a smile. Safety eyes should go above round 5 and the smile should go above round 4.
Round 8: SC Decrease in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1 (you will have an extra SC at the end)
Stuff tightly with poly-fil
Round 9: SC Decrease until closed. Fasten off leaving long tail.

Take tail and tapestry needle and send it down through the middle top all the way thru the apple to the middle bottom. Pull tightly so that you create an indent in the top of the apple. Weave in loose end to the bottom of the apple.

Stem:
with chunky brown yarn
Chain 7, SC + chain 1 + SC in second chain from hook, SC the rest of the way down chain, fasten of leaving long tail to sew onto the top indent of apple

Most of the mine time spend in V-blogging and editing videos is my passion. I create videos and then edit them before posting on the internet through YouTube. Recently I have found a list of 10 Best Illegal Banned Android Apps List Outside Google Play and found some video editing apps in this. So if you are searching for such apps, which are not present on the Google Play, then you should check this article once. Thanks
