Giant Crochet Candy Corn

This Giant Crochet Candy Candy Corn is the softest, fluffiest, squishiest, most adorable thing ever. It works up quickly using Bernat Blanket Yarn. I found the new (and oh-so-perfect) colors at my local JOANN store but you can purchase them RIGHT HERE from Yarnspirations.com!

Materials:
– Bernat Blanket Yarn in colors
Sunsoaked Yellow (1 ball)
Orange Leaf (1 ball)
Vintage White (1 ball)
– Size K hook
– 2 bags of fiber fill (12oz bags)
– set of 20mm safety eyes (optional)
– small strand of black yarn for mouth (optional)
– tapestry needle

Size: Approximately 22 inches tall by 18 inches wide (at the bottom)

Candy Corn Pattern:
with yellow
Chain 41, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down making 3 SC in the last chain, now working on other side of chain, SC in each chain making 3 SC in the last, join, chain 1 (86 SC)
Round 2: SC in first 40, 2 SC in next 3, SC in next 40, 2 SC in last 3, join, chain 1 (92 SC)
Round 3: SC in first 42, 2 SC in next 4, SC in next 42, 2 SC in last 4, Join, chain 1 (100 SC)
Round 4-5: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (100 SC)
Round 6: SC Decrease, SC in next 8, repeat around, join, chain 1 (90 SC)
Round 7-8: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (90 SC)
Round 9: SC Decrease, SC in next 7, repeat around, join, (80 SC)
Fasten off yellow and join in Orange yarn
Round 10-15: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (80 SC)
Round 16: SC Decrease, SC in next 6, repeat around, join, chain 1 (70 SC)
Round 17-22: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (70 SC)
Round 23: SC Decrease, SC in next 5, repeat around, join, chain 1 (60 SC)
Round 24-29: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (60 SC)
Round 30: SC Decrease, SC in next 4, repeat around, join (50 SC)
Fasten off orange yarn and join in white yarn
Round 31-33: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (50 SC)
Round 34: SC Decrease, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (40 SC)
Round 35-36: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (40 SC)
At this point you will want to add safety eyes and stitch on a mouth. Then stuff most of the candy corn with fiber fill. I used an entire two bags.
Round 37: SC Decrease, SC in next 2, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 38: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 38: SC Decrease, SC in next, repeat around, join chain 1
Round 40: SC Decrease until closed
Fasten off and weave in ends.
