Heat Wave Crochet Scarf

Have you heard of the new Red Heart Heat Wave yarn?! It’s pretty much magical because it is powered by the sun! Activated by UV rays, this yarn heats up 12 degrees warmer in the sun and then immediately cools down indoors! Keeping you snug and cozy throughout the Fall and Winter seasons. Plus it is super soft and comes in an array of gorgeous colors! I couldn’t pick just one color so I decided to make a striped scarf by combining 6 of the colors!

Materials:
– Red Heart Heat Wave in Beach Ball, Bikini, Ocean, Blue Skies, and Sandy Shores (1 skein each). You can shop Red Heart Heat Wave HERE on Yarnspirations.com!
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle

Striped Scarf Pattern

With pink
Chain 3, SC in second chain from hook and last chain, chain 1, turn
Row 2: 2 SC in each stitch, chain 1, turn
Row 3: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (4 SC)

Fasten off weave in ends
Add fringe to each end of scarf.
For each fringe: Cut two 12 inch strands. Pass through edge of scarf and knot. I made 14 fringe pieces on each end. Trim fringe when finished if desired. 

I am currently vacationing in Paris and don’t have my usual photography setup so I will take more finished photos when I get back home! In the meantime enjoy the pattern and I hope you like the new Red Heart Heat Wave yarn! It’s keeping me warm in France!
