Crochet Heart Granny Square

January 17, 2020

Heart projects are great to make all year round but especially around Valentine’s Day! I made a cute and whimsical heart granny square that can be used for so many different projects! Continue the granny square to make a big blanket or make multiple squares and stitch them together, or how about a pillow?! Tons of options! You can even just stop after making the heart part and use it as an appliqué.

I have made a video tutorial for this heart square so be sure to subscribe to my Repeat Crafter Me YouTube Channel!

Materials:
– Bernat Super Value Yarn in Peony Pink (and Magenta)
Shop Bernat Super Value Yarn HERE
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Off White (and Medium Purple)

This would make a great pot holder. I just don’t know how to make the backside of this. But I like this.

I had a question, when you join the white yarn where are you joining? If you join where you stop with the first color it doesn’t make sense as far as placement of the stitches for the next round. Help! It’s a wonderful pattern and I love the shape of the heart

The beginning chain looks like it should be 15 and round 2 doesn’t complete the round. I’m not sure what to do here

I think I’m going to use your pattern for a temp blanket. The heart will be the low for the day, rows 3 and 4 will be the high for the day and rows 5 and 6 will tie everything together.
