We received some happy mail from our friend Jonah Larson! The talented young crochet prodigy has released several new crochet kits that are beginner friendly and fun for all ages! I’ve been looking for a way to show my kids some easy crochet skills but also get them excited about making something cute. These crochet kits are perfect! Designed by a kid for kids (and beginner crocheters) they come with all of the products you need to start and finish a project!
Zoe is 7 years old and still not quite ready to completely grasp the skills needed for crochet (the kits are recommended for ages 10 and up) but she is excited about learning and I’ve been helping her with simple stitches. Her goal is to make the Koala Kit and the Cat Kit but first we decided to work on the easy Coaster Kit to get some practice.
Created by Jonah Larson (Jonah’s Hands) and produced by Boye Yarn Crafts, you can choose from 10 different crochet kits! Shop them all HERE! They make great gifts and a terrific way to learn crochet for anyone who is interested in taking up this fun hobby.
What’s in the kit: 3 mini balls of yarn, a size H crochet hook, tapestry needle, and detailed instructions!
Here is Zoe’s review of the Coaster Kit!
I helped finish the coaster and added a heart and border with surface slip stitching (as seen in the video above.) There is plenty of yarn left over to make multiple coasters!
Give these kits a try and let us know what you think! Tag Zoe on social media using @RepeatCrafterMe. And you can always find Jonah at @Jonahhands and Boye brand products at @BoyeYarnCrafts.
