Crochet Cactus

April 1, 2021

A cactus that is plush and not prickly! This is what happens when you crochet a cacti using Bernat Blanket yarn! Measuring about 22 inches tall and 18 inches wide, this cactus is big and squishy and super soft! You can crochet it with or without the terra-cotta pot. You won’t find a cuter cactus!

Materials:
– Bernat Blanket Yarn in Malachite Green (or any other green) (one ball makes one cactus!), Leather Rust Orange, and Brown for pot and dirt)
Shop colors HERE on Yarnspirations.com

– Light Green worsted weight yarn if you want to add the prickles
– Poly-fil Fiber Stuffing
– Size K Crochet Hook
– Large Tapestry Needle

Stitch both cactus arms on last. You will need to stitch most of the arm (about ¾ of the way up arm) to attach to the main body so they don’t flop down.

Loop strands of worsted weight yarn in a lighter green color all over cactus to make the “prickles”

    camera-tower

Most of us grew up reading classics from women like Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson. However, modern issues come with modern poets, and these 10 poets tell it the way it is. They also dig into the reality of what it is like to be a woman.

It looks like the magic ring for the pot is open. I’m confused about how to use the plate. If I leave the bottom open, the stuffing will be exposed. Can you give a little more guidance on this? Thank you so much!
