Crochet Red Truck Applique Ornament

I’ve had several requests for a Crochet Red Truck to go along with the Evergreen Tree I posted earlier this week! So here is a very simple Red Truck pattern that you could use for a Christmas ornament or anytime of year!

Materials:
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Bernat Super Value Yarn in color Berry Red, White, and Black
– Evergreen Tree Applique Pattern HERE
– Tapestry needle

Red Truck Pattern:
With red yarn
Chain 21, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, chain 1, turn
Row 2-6: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (20 SC)
Row 7: SC Decrease, SC I next 8, leave the rest of the stitches unworked, chain 1, turn
Row 8: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (9 SC)
Row 9: SC Decrease, SC in next 7, chain 1, turn
Row 10: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (8 SC)
Row 11: SC Decrease, SC in next 6, chain 1, turn
Row 12: SC in each stitch across, continue to SC around edges of entire truck, join to first SC, fasten off.

Wheels: (make 2)
Starting with white
magic ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring,
join in black yarn
Round 2: make 2 SC in each stitch around, fasten off leaving long tail.

Window:
with white yarn
chain 5, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, chain 1, turn
Row 2-4: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn
Fasten off leaving long tail to stitch window onto truck.

Make a second red truck and stitch the two together, leaving the truck bed open as a pocket!
