Happy New Year! I’m ready to bring you lots of new crochet projects and patterns! Thanks for being such a fun fiber-filled community. I am incredibly thankful for all of your support in 2021 and over the past 10 years. This blog has been such a blessing in my life and being able to teach through my free patterns and tutorials has given me so much joy!
Looking at the year ahead, I have many fun things planned for Repeat Crafter Me!
I am excited to be continuing as a Stitch Ambassador for Yarnspirations.com! The team at Sprinrite/Yarnspirations has allowed me to widen my audience and provided me with many of the tools I need to offer you free crochet patterns. They are such a lovely company and have supported my visions for many many years! My latest design, Ollie the O’Go Owl, has been a huge hit! Don’t forget to pop on over to Yarnspirations.com to download it!
I recently had a few new headshots and photos taken of me in my favorite spot: my yarn studio! Thank you to Harley Bonham Photography for the beautiful pics!
You may have noticed that the social media algorithms are constantly changing and evolving. It seems that TikTok and Reels have taken over. I’m going to stick to my usual methods of posting BUT I am challenging myself this year to branch out and try to also get familiar with these types of content.
In addition, I had set a goal for myself last year to work on my video content and focus on YouTube as an additional teaching tool to my photo tutorials and written patterns. Unfortunately I didn’t reach my goal of 100K followers on YouTube (and my kids are very disappoint by this LOL!). They have visions of me becoming a huge YouTube star like Dude Perfect or Mr Beast (HAHA!) So if you feel like supporting this dream my kids have for me, feel free to give my YouTube channel a follow! Repeat Crafter Me YOUTUBE
Last but not least, I will be collaborating with Michaels Craft Store on several projects this year! I do not take this opportunity for granted and it is such a pleasure to be able to work with them and design a few yarn projects for their community!
I have a few more collaborations with fellow designers in our crochet community that I will have to tell you about in a later post. But stay tuned!
If life has felt crazy and stressful, know that you can come here for lots of cute, colorful, and happy crochet! Yarn arts is such a great way to relax. Keep your hands and mind busy and give yourself a chance to just create.
Cheers to 2022!
Oh! Many of you have been asking about a second Cute Critters book. Nothing is set with my publishing company but hopefully I will get the chance to write another book in the near future!
