It’s strawberry season! Stitch up this sweet fruit in a matter of minutes! And if you are following along with the gnome project, this is a clue to our next gnome theme!

– Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Cherry Red, Lemon Yellow, and Spring Green
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Poly-fil Fiber Stuffing
– Tapestry Needle
Finished size is approximately 2 x 3 inches
Starting with red yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 4 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (4 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (8 SC)
Round 4: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
Round 5: 2 SC in first, SC in next two, repeat around, join, chain 1 (18 SC)
Round 6-7: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (18 SC)
Round 8: SC Decrease, SC in next two, repeat around, join chain 1
Round 9: SC Decrease, SC in next, repeat around, join,
Using tapestry needle and strand of yellow yarn, stitch on little seeds.
stuff loose ends inside strawberry and add a bit of poly-fil fiber stuffing.
join in green yarn
Round 10: SC Decrease in each stitch around, continue by chaining 4, slip stitch in each chain, join to round 10, chain 4 again and slip stitch down chan, repeat a third time to make 3 leaves, fasten off and weave in ends.
