Let’s make a border on our Gnome Corner-to-Corner Crochet Blanket! This technique will work on any C2C blanket and you can make the border as skinny or thick as you’d like. I took the background color from all 12 gnome panels and made a round on the border with each color.
I have a video tutorial for this border on my Repeat Crafter Me Youtube Page as well:
The first thing you will need to do to create your border is to take white (or whatever color you joined your panels with and create starting border around the entire blanket. This will be a single crochet between each pixel block + chain 2 + SC between the next pixel block.
When you get to the corners make a SC + chain 2 + SC in each corner.
Round 2 of your border you will make 2 SC in each chain 2 space from the previous round. Again making a SC + chain 2 + SC in each corner.
Round 3 and beyond of your border is simple SC stitches in any color of your choices for as many rounds of you like. Be sure to make a SC + chain 2 + SC in each corner.
I have one more thing I want to add to this blanket before the big reveal! Stay tuned for more this coming week!
