Let’s get started! This week we’ll begin our motif with a magic ring and build outward in the round using a series of simple stitches.
Haven’t heard of the Stitch in Season Crochet-Along? Let me tell you all about it.
It’s never too late to join in on the fun!
I am hosting a new stitch along over at Yarnspirations.com in collaboration with Red Heart Yarn! It’s called the Stitch in Season CAL and it features two different motif blocks: A Snowflake and a Spring Flower. The best part is this blanket goes from Winter to Spring depending on which shade of yarn you choose. One Pattern = Two blanket designs!
You can >>>> SIGN UP HERE <<<< to get all the patterns and tutorials directly into your email inbox!
If you’re working up the Snowflake version, start with the White shade and finish off your square with Macaw. If you’re opting for the Flower version, build your center with Retro Stripe. You’ll begin making your petals in the White shade on Round 3
Note: The first half of this tutorial video focuses on the Snowflake version. For instructions on the Flower, fast forward to the second half.
I give instructions to make the full 12 x12 square but you could use the first part of the snowflake as an ornament or coaster!
