The yarn is still a worsted weight just like a normal skein of Red Heart Super Saver. These mini versions give you the ability to try out a variety of colors and projects without purchases 12 larger more expensive balls of yarn.
I love the pattern for these Mini Crochet Amigurumi Charms! You can make the lemon, panda, and frog or make them into Christmas Characters! I changed up the colors and made a snowman, Christmas tree, and gingerbread head!
Here are the patterns for the embellishments:
Snowman Nose: chain 6, slip stitch in second chain from hook, SC in next, HDC in next 2, DC in last.
Snowman Hat: same pattern as panda ear but add a round at the end with 2 SC in each stitch.
Gingerbread Cheeks: Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, join, fasten off.
Tree Trunk: You can follow the pattern for the lemon leaf or just SC in a few rounds before closing the end up.
Tree Lights can be purchased HERE from Amazon and I used a couple dabs of hot glue to secure them.
So many ways to customize these patterns! After I made the gingerbread head, it made me think that a football keychain would be cute for the season!
