Materials:
– Bernat Velvet Minis Pack Yarn

– Size H Crochet Hook
– Polyfil Fiber Stuffing
– Two 14mm safety eyes (or similar size)
– Keyring. I got mine HERE on Amazon
– Tapestry Needle
Bernat Velvet Mini Crochet Owl Keychain Pattern:
starting with color 1 (belly color)
Magic Ring chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1 (18 SC)
Round 4-7: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (18 SC)
join in color 2 (head of owl), fasten off color 1
Round 8-11: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (18 SC)
Fasten off after round 11 leaving long tail.
Attach eyes and stitch on nose and feet, and stuff with polyfil before closing top of owl.
Eyes (make 2):
With white yarn
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, join, fasten off.
Add black safety eye to the middle of each white crocheted eye.
Poke safety eyes through white eye AND owl head (where the two colors meet) at the same time and secure with safety eye backing.
Stitch on triangle owl nose with yellow yarn and tapestry needle.
With same strand of yarn loop yarn 3 times around bottom of owl to make tiny talons in two spots.
Stuff owl with polyfill and whip stitch the top of the head closed with loose end and tapestry needle.
Attach key ring to the top of the owl head.
Owl Wings:
Join color 2 to side of owl where the two colors meet
Chain 6, SC in third chain from hook, HDC in next, DC in remaining chains, join wing a stitch over. fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat on other side of body.
