I’m so excited to share that my C2C Flower Blanket is officially finished and I am honestly amazed at the size!
This all started with a brand new knit flower blanket pattern from Yarnspirations. The Free Meadow Mosaic Knit Blanket Pattern includes a pixel graph, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for corner-to-corner crochet.
By switching from knit to C2C crochet and using super bulky blanket yarn, that one little square becomes a full-size throw!
Finished Size
Approximately 32 inches wide by 38 inches tall
And the best part? It only took one graph square to make an entire blanket.
Yarn Used
I used Bernat Blanket Yarn, which works up beautifully for C2C because the stitches are big, plush, and grow quickly.
Colors:
- Sunsoaked Yellow – 2 (300g) balls exactly
- Smokey Green – 1 ball
- Terracotta Rose Pink – 1 ball
The yellow background really makes the tulip pop, and I love how the Smokey Green leaves balance everything out.

From Knit to Crochet
The original Yarnspirations pattern is written for knit, but because it includes a graph, it’s very easy to translate into crochet.
Corner-to-corner (C2C) crochet works perfectly with graphs since each square becomes a C2C tile. Using chunky yarn just scales everything up dramatically.
I was shocked at how quickly this grew. By row 20 it was already a substantial size!
How to Make the C2C Blanket
Since this design is based on a graph rather than a written crochet pattern, here’s exactly how to recreate it:
Step 1: Download the Graph
Start by downloading the Free Meadow Mosaic Knit Blanket Pattern from Yarnspirations.
Inside the pattern, you’ll find the flower pixel graph. That’s the only part you need! Print the graph so you can follow along row by row.
Step 2: Use the Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Technique
Using the printed graph, follow it using the corner-to-corner (C2C) crochet method.
For this blanket, I used:
- Bernat Blanket Yarn
- Size K crochet hook
- Double crochet stitches for each C2C tile
What is Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Crochet?
If you’re new to C2C, here’s a quick explanation:
Corner-to-corner crochet allows you to take a pixel graph and turn it into a crocheted piece. Instead of working in straight rows across, you begin in one corner of the graph (most commonly the lower right corner) and crochet diagonally in rows until you reach the opposite corner.
Each “square” on the graph becomes one C2C block (tile) and consists of a chain 3 + 3 DC stitches. So to start you will chain 6 and then make a DC in the 3rd chain from hook and a DC in the remaining to chains. That leaves you with a chain 3 + 3 DC stitches which completes your first pixel block.
It’s one of my favorite techniques for turning graphs into blankets!
Double Crochet vs. Half Double Crochet
In my YouTube tutorial, I demonstrate C2C using half double crochet stitches.
For this tulip blanket, I used double crochet stitches instead. Both methods work perfectly. Double crochet just creates a slightly taller tile and a looser, drapier fabric.

One thing I love about this design is how flexible it is.
You can:
- Make the original knit flower square
- Crochet it using C2C like I did
- Try Tunisian crochet
- Use single crochet graphgan stitches
