This first home in our 2025 House Blanket Crochet-Along is a Winter Cabin! There are so many beautiful shades of blue in the Red Heart Super Saver line of yarn so feel free to use any color combo you’d like!

I decided to stick with the colors that I had previously used for this square. My only change is that I switched the Light Blue from the background to be the house color and used Periwinkle for the background instead. Only because this square is going to be next to my Barn square and the barn square also has a Light Blue background.
The links to all the patterns in this project will be available in one spot on the
>>> House Blanket Landing Page <<<

Each month in 2025, I will be posting a House themed corner-to-corner crochet square. Each house will reflect the seasons and/ore holidays! At the end of the year I will stitch all 12 of the house squares together to make a stunning blanket of happy homes.

will be using Red Heart Super Saver yarn for the entire project. I do not have colors picked out yet. I will be using colors I have on hand and will post the colors I use each month along with the pixel graphs.
>>> You can stock up on all shades of Red Heart Super Saver yarn HERE on Yarnspirations.com <<<
Each square starts with a 25×25 pixel graph. I use the corner-to-corner technique to crochet the square and the finished size of the crocheted squares are approximately 17 x 17 inches.
If you are new to the Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Crochet technique, let me explain a little bit about it. You can take a pixel graph and turn it into a crocheted piece. By starting in one corner of the graph (the lower right hand is most common place to start), you will crochet crochet diagonally in rows until you get to the other corner. One pixel square = a chain 2 + 3 HDC stitches. Please note that I am using HDC stitches for the C2C instead of DC.
Below is a Corner-to-Corner Video Tutorial:
My friends at The Crochet Crowd also have a really great C2C tutorial that was made using one of my patterns. >>> SEE IT HERE <<<

Tip: When weaving in your ends, use the loose ends to connect squares that may not be touching but should be. For instance, on the right side of the brown roof, the squares do not touch. Weave the yarn between the corners of the squares so it appears that they are one continues roof line.

The finished C2C square is reversible! The backside will be a mirror image of the front. Below is a picture of the back of the blanket. You can see the chimney is on the other side.

thanks alot
This looks so fun to make and I’d like to make this to challenge my crochet skills. I know you said that it will only require one skein of each color, but how many bobbins of each color do you recommend?
Thank you!
