“Hello” Stamped Shortbread Cookies

August 8, 2013

What better way to say “Hello” and make new friends this year than with a plate of cookies 🙂 Shortbread cookies can be stamped with any image but be sure you follow a recipe with NO baking soda or baking powder. If the cookie dough rises, the stamped image will disappear. I followed THIS recipe from Magnolia Days and it worked pretty well.

I love this idea for play dates or a beginning of the year treat for you child’s class. I found my stamp at the dollar store, but you can purchase a similar one from Amazon.

If you really want to get fancy, Rycraft is in the business of selling cookie stamps with beautiful designs and images that I am sure work even better than any old rubber stamp.

Once your dough is made, roll into small balls. I squished mine down a little and then sprayed some cooking spray onto the stamp (so it wouldn’t stick to the cookie) and pressed it down firmly into the dough. You can also use a little canola oil to grease your stamp. Bake according to the recipe you followed.

Now go share with your new friends!

What a great idea. I could see doing that with other stampers. Makes me want to go to the craft store and buy some especially for making cookies :0)

These are great ideas for this type of activity. This could be a wonderful business in the future. And it’s intriguing to hear about the experiences of successful people. When it comes to business, I believe that thorough inquiry is critical. This is exactly how I dealt with the issue. Before settling on an offshore corporate services provider, I thoroughly researched everything. I choose Anguilla сompany formation services and I liked their approach, agility, and efficiency. And I want to have operating offshore structures very soon.

When I don’t have the time or desire to cook, I often order food through vital choice customer service , and it’s important to me that the food arrives hot and on time. A good service always responds promptly, and if there are any delays, they warn you in advance. What I especially like is the variety and quality of the dishes – when everything is fresh and tasty, you want to order delivery again. In such cases, the service really makes life easier.

This cookie stamping idea is so fun! I love how it makes cookies extra special. I once tried something similar for a party, but used a heart-shaped cutter instead. What other unique images could work well for these cookies?
