I had maternity photos taken last week by my very talented friend and photographer Shannon of Shannon Erickson Photography and thought I would share some of them with you! If you are pregnant and debating on whether or not to get maternity photos taken, DO IT! You won’t regret it! I never had maternity photos taken with my first baby and really wish I had. But I have the most beautiful photos from when I was pregnant with #2 and now I will always cherish these photos of me and baby #3.
This gorgeous maternity sash is from Kutie Tuties. But it’s more than a maternity sash. It can be a great newborn photo prop or a headband when she gets older! I ordered these wooden alphabet name blocks from Lilly Letters Etsy Shop. I originally was going to buy a set of Alphabet blocks and paint them myself, but this shop only charges .60 a letter so it was much cheaper just to order the blocks I needed and get them custom painted by choosing from her large selection of permanent and non-toxic acrylic paints!

This blanket was crocheted by my grandmother and given to me when I was a baby! My mom saved it and gave it to me a couple weeks ago. The stitching is perfect and the quality of yarn is top notch. I wish she was still alive so we could crochet together.

I think this last picture is one of my favorites. This was taken in our backyard! I would have never thought of using the fence gate and vines as a backdrop but it was perfect. I am only 24 weeks pregnant in this photo so you can imagine how big I am going to be when I am close to 40 weeks. Yikes!

These photos are gorgeous and I agree. I'm not a maternity photo person, but I did them with my youngest child and I do love them very much!
That blanket is gorgeous. What a special gift for your mom to save it for you. I had a crocheting Grandma myself and actually had my mom finally teach me to crochet after my Grandma passed away. I'm so thankful to have her skill passed on to me!

Are you sure it's not twins? Beautiful photos. Your friend did a wonderful job! They didn't do this when I was younger. I have one of me at the baby shower that shows how big I was. That's the only one I have.

So beautiful. It touched me you have your grandmother's baby blanket she crocheted for you. I am lucky enough to have a crochet afghan from my great grandmother that was my parents' weddding gift back in the early 80s. Funny thing – it's the same zig zag pattern!! I thought it was so cool how the chevron trend is back in. My great grandmother used the tiniest hook too- two rows of double crochet isn't even an inch wide- its gorgeous! I also have the baby blanket she made me. You are the reason I started crocheting and through the journey I discovered this bond I had with my great grandmother- it's really special and magical.

oh Sarah what a beautiful collection of maternity photo's, and a fabulous keepsake, you look so relaxed and full of joy, my mum would have said "blossoming"!!! I never heard of anyone having photo's like this when I was pregnant(my son is 29 now) and to know what sex and the name too before baby was born was unheard of. being pregnant seems to be so much more fun these day lol
I wish you well, and pray for a safe delivery etc, looking forward to welcoming baby Zoe to the world later on in the year. I bet with your crochet talents she will be the best dressed baby lol
