I am not sure how I can put into words how incredible the past 4 days have been and wanted to try to share with you the amazing adventure that I just experienced. Thursday, July 13th, I flew to Toronto Canada to tour and meet the Spinrite/Yarnspirations marketing office. The team behind Yarnspirations is beyond fabulous. I have worked with other yarn and yarn-related companies but nothing compares to the great people and designers I met this past week. Creative, friendly, funny, sweet, caring, helpful, and always a positive and encouraging attitude. They truly care about bloggers and makers like me and YOU! I felt appreciated and that is something you don’t always find in big company. We had a full day of meetings and brainstorming sessions and the creative juices were flowing! We have so much in store for you in the coming months! Super cute designs, Fall fashion trends, and more adorable and comfortable wearables. And also, big things coming up for Christmas!!! I can’t even contain my excitement! Sorry to be vague and keep you in suspense, but good things come to those who wait 🙂
The Sprinrite offices are so beautiful – a real life dream space for any crocheter or knitter!
Yarn and creative inspiration around every corner!
These two are awesome! This is Shannon (left)Â and Magda (right)Â of the Yarnspirations social media marketing team! I am so lucky to be in continuous contact with these ladies and am honored to help represent the Yarnspirations/Spinrite brand.
I also had the opportunity to meet 4 of my amazing fellow crochet and knit bloggers. Michael and Daniel of The Crochet Crowd, Brittany of B Hooked Crochet, and Kristen of GoodKnitKisses. I was so surreal to actually get to hang out with these incredible people in person after networking with them for so many years online. I truly admire every single one of them and their work. You don’t expect to mesh with everyone you meet but I can honestly say that the 5 of us really hit it off! We became fast friends from the moment we arrived. I’m not kidding! After 1 hour together, we decided that we must hop in the car and go see Niagara Falls together! Keep in mind that it was 10:30pm and the drive was 1.5 hours each way 🙂 Seeing Niagara lit up in lights at midnight was breathtaking and it was the best bonding experience I could have imagined. The 5 of us only got closer as the days progressed.

First stop in Canada… TIM HORTONS!
Niagara Falls at night!

Kristen of GoodKnitKisses has such a vibrant and sweet personality! I could chat with her for hours. And I literally did! I will be forever grateful for all of the knowledge she shared with me regarding knitting and video making. She even got me to pick up knitting needles at the Our Maker Life event and taught me how to knit for the very first time! Who knows, my blog may include knitting patterns one day thanks to Kristen!
I had a feeling that Brittnay of B Hooked Crochet and I were going to get along! We have been networking online for quite some time and I am always in awe of her Instagram and beautiful crochet work. We have a lot of similarities when it comes to our crochet and yet I feel like I could learn so much from her. So glad we are collaborating on behalf of Yarnspirations!
Michael and Daniel (AKA Mikey and Diva Dan) are such a dynamic duo! It’s easy to see why The Crochet Crowd is so popular. They are so incredibly likeable and funny and I think the 3 of us are going to be blogging besties from now on! I feel like I could have sat around a table, crocheting and brainstorming and telling stories and jokes with these two for days. Check out THIS video of Daniel and I goofing around and doing a little game of cats cradle 🙂Â
I am not kidding when I say we really enjoyed each others company. One night we stayed up until midnight, crocheting and knitting together in the 3rd floor lobby!
The ideas continued to flow over dinner as well!
Saturday we attended the Our Maker Life Knit and Crochet Meet Up sponsored in part by Yarnspirations. It was so inspiring to get to talk and network with other makers! Most of the attendees had Shopify, Etsy, and Ravelry stores and I was really able to see the crochet business from their perspective.
Yarnspirations design team presented a slide show of Fall trends along with some product samples for the audience!
Shannon and Emily from the Spinrite offices were great models!
Yarnspirations had a fun project for attendees to help with. Everyone created pompoms to add to a “Maker” rug! It was awesome to see everyone get hands-on with the yarn and it turned out great!
I have to mention that I met Michelle from MJ’s Off The Hook Designs! You might remember her Hooded Owl Blanket made from Bernat Softee Chunky that went viral!
I also got to hang out with Sarah from Mama Knows Luxury yarn. Take a look at that extra big super soft yarn!!! Stay tuned, because we have a collaboration in the works!!!
Look at me knitting during the knit-a-long portion of the event! Thanks again Kristen/GoodKnitKisses for being a fabulous teacher!
If you are interested in attending Our Maker Life, follow their page HERE for details on next years event!
A huge thanks to the Yarnspirations/Sprinrite team for hosting me in Toronto! I am so grateful to be part of their influencers team and feel so thankful to be able to collaborate with this amazing company!
Now stay tuned for more free crochet patterns and projects!

I am terribly jealous of all the crochet celebs you met and of everyone who got to meet you. I live in the Toronto area and found out about OML when it was already sold out. I would have loved to be your tour guide and to be a bug inside the car when you five were heading to the Falls. Oh wow. Total yarn geek fest!
I can’t wait to see what you all have been planning.
