Autumn weather means the UGG boots come out of the closet! They are my all time favorite footwear! So comfy and soft and they give me all the Fall feels. Now the littlest members of your family can have super cute and comfortable UGG style boots too! These booties are sized for around 6 months old but you can easily make them bigger or smaller (anywhere from 0-12 months) by adjusting your hook size and weight of yarn. I am using Bernat Super Value (I would say this a thicker type of worsted weight yarn – so thinner yarn could be used!) and a size F hook. Keep in mind that the button closure makes these customizable as well!
Materials:
– Bernat Super Value yarn in color Topaz (one skein). Purchase HERE at Yarnspirations.com
– Bernat Pipsqueak Yarn in White (one skein). Purchase HERE at Yarnspirations.com
– Size F Crochet Hook (bigger hook needed for bigger booties)
– Tapestry Needle
– Two white buttons (1/2-1 inch diameter)
– Two white buttons (1/2-1 inch diameter)
Crochet UGG Booties RIGHT FOOT:
with brown yarn..
Chain 10, SC in 2nd chain from hook, SC in next 7, make 5 SC in the last chain
Now working on opposite side, SC 9, join, ch 1
Round 2: SC in first 2, HDC in next 6, 2 HDC in next 2, HDC in next 2, 2 HDC in next 2, HDC in next 6, SC in last two, join, ch 1.
Round 3: SC in first 9, 2 SC in next 2, 2 HDC in next 4, 2 SC in next 2, SC in last 9, join, chain 1
with brown yarn..
Chain 10, SC in 2nd chain from hook, SC in next 7, make 5 SC in the last chain
Now working on opposite side, SC 9, join, ch 1
Round 2: SC in first 2, HDC in next 6, 2 HDC in next 2, HDC in next 2, 2 HDC in next 2, HDC in next 6, SC in last two, join, ch 1.
Round 3: SC in first 9, 2 SC in next 2, 2 HDC in next 4, 2 SC in next 2, SC in last 9, join, chain 1
Round 4: In back loops only, make 2 SC in first, SC in each stitch around, make 2 SC in last, join, ch 1. (36 SC)
Round 5-6: Now working in both loops, SC around, join, ch 1. (36 SC)
Round 7: SC in first 12, [SC decrease, SC in next ] 4 times, SC in last 12, join, ch 1. (32 sc)
Round 8: SC in first 10, [SC decrease, SC in next] 4 times, SC in last 10, join, ch 1. (28 sc)
Round 9: SC in first 8, [SC decrease, SC in next] 4 times, SC in last 8, join, chain 1 (24 sC)
Round 10: Chain 11, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, continue to SC in each stitch around. DO NOT JOIN, chain 1, turn
Round 11-14: SC in each stitch around, chain 1, turn
Round 15: SC until you get to the last 3 stitches, chain 2 and skip two stitches, SC in last stitch, chain 1, turn
Round 16: SC in first chain, 2 SC over the chain 2, SC in each of the remaining stitches, chain 1, turn
Round 17-21: SC in each stitch around, chain 1,
Fasten off and weave in ends. Use one of your loose ends to sew button onto the outer edges of the booties, making sure button hole in the strap/flap reaches the button.
With pipsqueak yarn, continue to slip stitch around edges making SC stitches only along the button flap edges.

Round 15: SC in first stitch, chain 2 and skip 2 stitches, SC the rest of the way around, chain 1, turn
Round 16: SC in each stitch around making 2 SC over the chain 2, chain 1, turn
Round 17-21: SC in each stitch around, chain 1

Looking so cute on little feet! Baby Sawyer tried them on (he is 3 months) and they are big on him but totally wearable!

These are the footwear which protects from the cold weather and helps your feat more warm according to the temperature and I have seen more new styles of the footwear in Vehicle towing company site and but I was unable to get that due to some reasons.
I’m having a really hard time with this pattern in the first round. Going down the other side after the 5 single crochets in the last stitch, your patters says to “sc 9.” I only have 8 stitches to crochet in until I get to the other side of the round near the heel. Do I crochet into that 9th chain? The join seems not on point of I do.
Me too! I feel like I can’t get the soles to work up even, and the stitch count is off.
Glad I’m not going crazy and other people are having this issue. I’m going to try just crocheting 8 instead of 9 and see if that makes it work out.

I think the 5 sc into the 9th st needs to be 6 sc, otherwise the “2 hdc into 2, hdc in next 2, 2 hdc into 2” shifts the whole toe over to the side of the sole, which would be okay, but it would make this a left foot instead of a right, and a cattywampus one at that. I also end up with 34 stitches if I use 5 sc into the 9th st. Eyeballing the photo I really do think she did 6 sc into that final ch because it looks like the 2 hdc, etc . . . is all in the center and I’m counting 6 sc, not 5.
I’m also considering doing this in spirals instead of joining because we’re not told Where to join. I’m guessing that join goes into the 1st ch of the ch 10 because that 1st ch should count as a sc.
Still no joy. I’m giving up and going for a different sole pattern. I’ll try this again when I’m better at charting. I think part of the issue is that the heel has no increases – it starts to curve like a hat. I did one of these just right and now I can’t get any subsequent attempts to turn out correctly. I wish I could remember what I did the first time!
I was having a problem with the opposite side of the chain until I wrote it out on paper – it does work. I think we miss the first stitch (on the second side) because the five singles (on the first side) distort the stitch. Hope this helps.

I’m not missing the first stitch on the opposite side, the toe is just asymmetrical because we’re told to do 5 sc into the chain, but then we’re to put 6 stitches into those 5 sc.
I won’t know for sure until I try it, but I did chart it out and it’s clear that the toe is askew. I’ve also frogged this 5 times now because of the toe looking like it’s fitted for bunions! 😀
This is the cutest pattern . But the sole does not sit well on the heel. I put six sc in the last chain, but it still puckers on the heel. I continue and am just pulling and stretching it to shape, but something is wrong. I wish Repeat Crafter could assist with a comment or suggestion. Thanks again, your work is so wonderful.
