Crocheted Hanukkah Gelt / Christmas Candy Bags

When Creative Jewish Mom posted her crocheted Hanukkah Gelt bags yesterday, I literally ran for my crochet hook. We are hosting a Hanukkah party at our house on Saturday and I immediately thought these would be great party favors. I still need to make one for each guest, but here are the first few.

Then I thought, these could easily be made for Christmas as well! They are the perfect size to hold little candies, sleigh bells, mini candy canes, reindeer food, or even a lump of coal if you know someone on the naughty list :o)

You can find the pattern for these bags HERE. The only thing I changed was in rounds 4-16, I worked in continuous rounds instead of joining with a slip stitch.
