Owl Cupcake Toppers – FREE Printable!

August 2, 2012

If you are hosting a baby shower, birthday, or an owl themed party, then these owl cupcake toppers are perfect for your celebration! I have designed pink owls and blue owls in 2″ circles. Just print them out on card stock paper and use a 1.5″ or 2″ circle punch to cut them out. Glue one on either side of a toothpick and they are ready!

Download the FREE printable HERE

Want to make these blue and pink mini cakes? All you need is a box of white cake mix, food coloring and a circle cookie cutter.

Mix the cake mix according to the instructions on the box and separate into two bowls. Use blue food coloring for one batter bowl and red or pink for the other. Pour batter into greased 9″ round pans and bake according to box instructions.

When cooled, trim off the top of both cakes and use a 2″ circle cookie cutter to cut cylinders. Cut each cylinder in half and add frosting.

Now you have the perfect little desserts and most adorable toppers for your party!

These are so adorable! Just a little tip, instead of food coloring, you can add a packet of kool aid drink mix to a white cake mix. It will add color and flavor. Raspberry or pink lemonade is great. The packets are the ones you add to a bottle of water.

Can you make these the day of the party or should you make them the night before? Also, do you have a template of the owl cake toppers to make other owl party items, i.e. water bottle labels, food tents, door sign, etc.?

LOVE these spring printables. Brilliant with the little cookie cutter – I love how they're tiny teacakes – a great way to do something other than cupcakes. We featured on Craftbaby here (http://www.craftbaby.com/2013/04/22/12-fresh-printables-for-spring-craft-projects/) and would love for you to enter the Spring Printables challenge for a chance to win a $50 Etsy Gift Card! http://www.craftbaby.com/2013/04/15/spring-printables-sweepstakes-etsy-gift-card-challenge/
