We went strawberry picking at one of our favorite local farms (Baggenstos) last week. Big brother spent the whole time looking for the biggest strawberry and little brother kept eating them before he could get them in the box. So even though I did most of the picking, it still made for a fun family outing!
We came home with a huge box of strawberries that only cost us $5! And they were hand-picked, farm fresh, local, and so incredibly sweet and tasty. I knew I had to make something with these fresh strawberries and decided on a crock pot strawberry cobbler. It came out so tasty and with the most perfect cobbler crust. I can’t wait to make this recipe again with other seasonal berries. Next up is blueberry picking and then blackberry picking 🙂
Crock Pot Strawberry Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients:
Filling:
– 4 cups fresh strawberries (cut in halves or quarters depending on size of berry)
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
Topping:
– 2 1/4 cups Bisquick baking mix
– 1/4 cup sugar
– 4 tablespoons butter, melted
– 1/2 cup milk (I used 1%)
– 4 tablespoons butter, melted
– 1/2 cup milk (I used 1%)
Directions:
1. Spray crock pot with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a bowl mix cut strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 baking mix together. Dump in bottom of crock pot.
3. In another bowl, mix together 2 1/4 cups baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar, melted butter and milk. Consistency should be dough-like.
4. Drop bits of dough on top of strawberry mixture.
5. Sprinkle the top of dough with a little sugar 🙂
6. Cook on high for 3-3.5 hours.
It would be great with whipped cream topping and vanilla ice cream!
Dig in!

ummm yum!!! How do you store the leftovers?? 😉
Do you think you could do this with other fruit, like peaches or apples?
I plan on it! I'm going to do blueberries next.

This looks delicious! I love crock pot recipes! Pinning!
I have this in the crock pot right now. It was so simple to put together I can't WAIT to taste it. 4 cups for me came out to about 1 1/2 pints, for those who aren't picking their own and buying them in store!
We live on a nectarine & peach orchard so we pick them from the backyard! This recipe looks so tasty I cannot wait for our peaches to be nice and ripe so I can try out that crust.
