Baby Girl Nursery DIY decorating ideas

October 14, 2013

Beautiful newborn photos by the talented Apple Blossom Photography (Facebook, Website).
I love this one of her sleeping in a bowl of my favorite yarn, Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice.
I am officially introducing my future crocheter and the newest addition to our family: Zoe! She was born August 31, 2013 weighing 8lbs 1oz and 21 inches long. She has been an easy baby and makes our family complete. We are feeling so blessed!

Her nursery was a work in progress, and although you saw bits and pieces of it throughout the last 9 months, I thought I would post a round-up of all the crafts I made for it now that its all come together.
These yarn wrapped letters were one of my favorite projects. You can see the whole tutorial and detailed pictures HERE. Daisy Garden bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids.
This Alphabet Wall Art was easy to make and customize to the colors of her room. They are wooden letters decoupaged with scrap book paper. See the full tutorial HERE.
Other items in the picture: A&Z book ends from HomeGoods, Flower piggy bank, Lamp from a garage sale, Gro-Egg Color Changing Digital Room Thermometer , Dohm-DS Dual Speed Sound Conditioner
Shelves from Target make a place to display photos, books and this adorable Baby Clutch Ball!
Pattern is by Petals to Picots (for purchase only).
Other items pictured:  Custom name blocks, Carter’s Zebra stuffed animal, Zebra Lovey (came in gift set from Costco for $6), Target Wall Shelves

And here is Zoe the Zebra! FREE zebra crochet hat pattern HERE.

Daisy flower wall decals came THIS Etsy shop and matching Daisy Garden night light from Pottery Barn Kids.

Crochet Blooming Flower Pillow was a great addition to my daisy them and a perfect accessory for the rocking chair. Original pattern by Attic 24. You can see my version HERE.
Other items in photo: Stylemaster Malibu Pink Curtains
from Amazon (a bargain at only $11!)
Crochet Lamb Mobile doesn’t exactly go with my “theme” but it is so sweet and perfect for over the changing table. See the full tutorial HERE.
DIY Hair Bow Holder for all those girly accessories! Can be transformed into a message board when she is older. See the full tutorial HERE.
Items that I made but haven’t found a place to hang 🙂
Button Owl Art
Scrapbook Paper Canvas Wall Art
I hope you’ve found some DIY decorating inspiration! My baby girl isn’t using her room quite yet, but we are looking forward to getting her all moved in soon.
Sweet dreams Zoe 🙂
