I’ve been so busy crocheting that it’s been awhile since I’ve done a project with the kids. We fixed that today with this cute little owl fingerprint craft! This could easily be framed and put on the family photo wall or given as a gift to parents or grandparents. I’ve even created a tree branch printable to make this project that much easier.
You will need:
– Finger paints or any washable/non-toxic paints. I ended up using a set of acrylic paints I had from craftprojectideas.com.
– Googly eyes in different sizes
– Fine tip sharpie marker
– Elmer’s glue or a hot glue gun
Have everyone in the family spread a little paint on the ball of their pointer finger. Not too much, just so it is lightly coated. You could also have one child make one set of owls using all of their fingers (thumb for daddy, pointer finger for mommy, etc.) Press finger onto paper right above bottom branch.
Use green paint to make extra fingerprints for the leaves!
Wait a couple minutes for the paint to dry.
Draw owl embellishments over fingerprint with a fine tip sharpie marker. Glue goggly eyes on with elmers glue or a hot glue gun.
