Meet UltraViolet! The purrfectly purple crochet kitty made from Yarnspirations Patons Alpaca Blend yarn! The color of the yarn is UltraViolet which I thought would be the most appropriate name for this cute kitten! UltraViolet is also the 2018 Pantone’s color of the year and one of my favorite shades. You only need about half a skein to crochet this kitten. Simple SC construction and a few easy embellishments like safety eyes and white whiskers bring this sweet soft toy to life. I can’t wait to show you how to crochet this purr-fect plush pet!
I created UltraViolet for the FaveCrafts Best Blogger Contest!

I love the purple kitty!! But where is the pattern? I voted but never found the pattern
I voted for you , its adorable.
I would also love the pattern but it does not work 🙁 could you let us know where to get the pattern…thanks so much for a cute kitty.
I love this and voted, but the pattern never popped up! I would love to have it!
this purple knit kitten is one of the pretties knitted things I have ever seen. Sooo perfect …both as a toy and a decoration!
it’s crocheted not knitted but you’re right…it’s very cute
Love the kitty. Voted, but like others, could not get the pattern.
Hi Sarah! I’ve found that if I work the pattern in the spiral, like traditional amigurumi, then it makes for a smoother line and shape. So I don’t do the join and chain 1 on each row. I use a stitch marker and move it up accordingly.
And to others who are trying to get the pattern on the site, use a laptop or desktop pc. It doesn’t work on a cell phone x
I am having a problem with the stitch count on the head. After row 5, I have the correct stitch count (20) but after row 6, I only have 25 and the pattern says 30. I have looked at it over and over and have redone it but always end up with 25 sts. Help please!
Same. I think it’s a typo, I had to draw myself a count line to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. LOL! Head Step 4 and 5, the stitch count should be 25, and the stitch count for Step 6, back to 20. That’s what I’m going with. Thanks for the pattern, Sarah! Love your creations!!
Vanessa, I was having the same trouble too!
I just kept going and it worked out fine in the end. I had one extra stitch at the end of decrease row because of odd number stitch count and just sc it…it worked out fine! Almost finished with it…cute cat!
Guys, how do you get 26 sc in the 1 row for the body?
I increase 11 chains by 4, then again by 4, but I never arrive at 26 sc….
This is so cute! I love cats, and purple is my favorite color, so this is a perfect project for me!
Where’s the pattern? I would really like to make one of these kitties. It is so cute!
Found it!
