Crochet Heart Blanket

February 12, 2019

It seemed appropriate to this super sweet Heart Blanket during Valentine’s week! But I think the simple stripes and fuzzy heart make this blanket perfect for any time of year. Especially adorable for a baby gift or baby shower. So many color combo possibilities too! The main striped blanket is crocheted with Bernt Super Value yarn and the giant heart applique is made of the soft and fuzzy Bernat Pipsqueak yarn. I know pipsqueak yarn can be intimidating to work with so I used two strands while I was crocheting the heart: one strand of pipsqueak yarn in white and one strand of caron simply soft in white. This way you can see and count your stitches. Plus the fuzzy pipsqueak yarn covers up all traces of the caron simply soft in the finished piece!

Materials:
– Bernat Super Value in Baby Pink (2 skeins)
– Bernat Super Value in White (one skein)
– Bernat Pipsqueak in White (one skein)
– Caron Simply Soft in White (one skein – optional)
– Size H Crochet Hook for main blanket
– Size I (5.5mm) Hook for heart applique
– Tapestry Needle
– Large Clover Pom-Pom Maker (optional)

Finished Size: 40 inches wide x 45 inches tall

Blanket Pattern:
Starting with pink Bernat Super Value yarn…
Chain 113, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, chain 1, turn
Row 2-6: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (112 SC)
Change to white Bernat Super Value  yarn…
Row 7-8: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (112 SC)
Repeat pattern until you have 158 rows (20 sections of pink stripes and 19 sections of white stripes)
Fasten off and weave in ends

Hi! I was single for a long time, there was no an ideal event to date, yet an amigo showed me mail-order brides where I discovered my affection. We are by and by a solid couple who are building their affiliations. I’m energetic, I encourage everybody to try
