Crochet Leprechaun Cuddle Buddy

February 22, 2019

My kids love leprechauns almost as much as they love Santa! They get excited every year for St. Patrick’s Day. We read the book “How to Catch a Leprechaun” and then the kids construct leprechaun traps out of shoe boxes! It’s become a fun tradition. This year I crocheted a friendly leprechaun cuddle buddy. The kids named him Lucky!

Hi! Thank you so much for this free pattern. It is simply adorable!
I just made one for my grandson and love it.

I was thinking of making a similar cuddle doll for my granddaughter – maybe adding a triangular frock with a small shamrock on the front, or a triangular frock and a headband with a small shamrock over the doll’s red hair.

You are so talented and I would greatly appreciate getting your feedback on that. Thank you in advance,

    Louise

Hi, I’ve been enjoying making Lucky the Leprechaun for each of my grandsons. I’m close to finishing the Lucky #1 (1 leg to make). I can’t wait for them to see them. I am irish living in Canada so this is a special little make for me☘️. The pattern is just great, thank you.
I have a question about how to get the head to not wobble back & forth … I have sewed it onto the body just above the beard at the back? I’d really appreciate your suggestions on just that part.
Thanks again & I look forward to sharing on Pin. & FB.
