Crochet Snowman Apron

September 14, 2019

Here is the second Kids Crochet Christmas Apron design! An adorable Snowman! The pattern is pretty much the same at the Gingerbread Apron but I am re-posting so you can have the completed pattern with the correct color changes and additions. Stay tuned for two more apron designs! I am pretty sure you will want to make all 4!

Materials:
– Bernat Super Value yarn in White and Berry Red (one skein of each) and a bit of Orange for the nose.
– Size H Crochet Hook

– Small strand of black yarn

Fasten off and weave in ends.
Now lets make the top of the apron.
Count 57 stitches in from the apron tie, in next stitch join in white yarn and chain 1
Row 46: SC along 26 stitches (leave remaining stitches unworked), chain 1, turn
Row 47-63: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Neck Strap:
Note: If you make your starting chain fairly tight then it will naturally curve!
with white yarn, chain 51, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain (50 SC)
Row 2-3: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (50 SC)
Fasten off and use loose ends to stitch the strap ends to the top edges of the apron.

Triangle Nose:
with orange yarn
Chain 5, SC in second chain from hook, HDC in next two, DC in last, fasten off leaving long tail and stitch onto snowman face (upper part of apron)

Stitch on 3 buttons to the low part of apron and safety eyes to the upper part. Stitch on a smile with tapestry needle and black yarn

You could also crochet circles instead of using buttons:

Bigger Circle: magic ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join to first SC, fasten off and use long tail to stitch onto apron.
Smaller Circle: magic ring, chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, join to first SC, fasten off and use long tail to stitch onto apron
