I’ve been working on a lot of holiday crochet patterns! I couldn’t wait to show you this Crochet Gingerbread Apron! This will be part of a series of Kids Crochet Christmas Aprons so stay tuned for a few other cute designs! The pattern is very simple and works from the bottom up. I made this to fit children but it would be easy to add more rows to make it longer or add more chains to your starting chain to make it longer.
Materials:
– Bernat Super Value yarn in Topaz brown and White (one skein of each)
– Size H Crochet Hook
– two small black buttons for the eyes, two small pink buttons for the cheeks, two larger (1 inch) red buttons and one green for the tummy. (you also have the option to crochet these pieces)
– Small strand of black yarn
– Tapestry Needle
Size: Apron is approximately 17 inches wide and 17 inches tall (not including the neck strap)
Apron Pattern:
with white
Chain 61, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, chain 1, turn
Row 2-3: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn
add in brown yarn and fasten off white yarn
Row 4-28: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn
Row 29: SC decrease, SC in next 56, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 30: SC Decrease, SC in next 54, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 31: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (56 SC)
Row 32: SC Decrease, SC in next 52, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 33: SC Decrease, SC in next 50, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 34: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (52 SC)
Row 35: SC Decrease, SC in next 48, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 36: SC Decrease, SC in next 46, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 37: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (48 SC)
Row 38: SC Decrease, SC in next 44, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 39: SC Decrease, SC in next 42, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 40: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (44 SC)
Row 41: SC Decrease, SC in next 40, SC Decrease over last two, chain 1, turn
Row 42: SC Decrease, SC in next 38, SC Decrease over last two, fasten off and weave in ends
with white yarn
Row 43: Chain 50 then attach to top edge of apron and SC 40 stitches, chain 51, turn
Row 44-45: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (140 SC)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Now lets make the top of the apron.
Count 57 stitches in from the apron tie, join in brown yarn and chain 1
Row 46: SC along 26 stitches (leave remaining stitches unworked), chain 1, turn
Row 47-63: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Neck Strap:
Note: If you make your starting chain fairly tight then it will naturally curve!
with white yarn, chain 51, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain (50 SC)
Row 2-3: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (50 SC)
Fasten off and use loose ends to stitch the strap ends to the top edges of the apron.
Stitch on buttons to the low part of apron and face buttons to the upper part. Stitch on a smile!
You could also crochet circles instead of using buttons:
Bigger circle: magic ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join to first SC, fasten off and use long tail to stitch onto apron.
Smaller Circle: magic ring, chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, join to first SC, fasten off and use long tail to stitch onto apron

So it will be, like mothers; the idea of a virgin, that is beyond doubt, to strain and cook a little.
There are many examples for such problem, I have read a lot about it because of my work, but still there is no concrete solution.
