Crochet Gingerbread House

October 5, 2019

This isn’t your typical Crochet Gingerbread House! I’ve constructed this so that you can crochet the entire house in one piece! No separate walls and roof to stitch together. Just one lone piece that folds into a house (with a bit of crocheting edges together.) Christmas is sneaking up on us and I know you are looking for quick and easy projects like this one!

Materials:
– Bernat Super Value in Topaz and white. Shop yarn HERE on Yarnspirations.com
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Christmas buttons or felt stickers
– Hot Glue Gun (optional)
– Tapestry needle
– Polyfil Fiber Stuffing

Finished Size = 7 inches tall x 5 inches wide

Gingerbread House Pattern:
Chain 13, SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down, chain 1, turn

Row 55-67: SC in each stitch across, chain 1, turn (24 SC)
Fasten off leaving long tail.

Add your embellishments! I ended up using buttons and felt stickers just to make it easy and quick. But you could spend more time crocheting parts and pieces onto each section. I surface slip stitches the white frames and used the scallop stitch on the roof line.

Stitch up using your tapestry needle and long strand of yarn! Stuff with poly-fil before completely closing.

Play around with different designs! Festive Christmas Buttons are so fun and easy to attach!

Love your little ginger-house! I can see crochet enthusiasts taking off, creatively, with your design. Wouldn’t a little snow village be sweet or the North Pole? Thanks for sharing?

I love this! Just started tonight. Curious if there is a row 54 or we just should add another row to the last lines? Thanks so much for all of your patterns!!❤️

Either I am very confused, or row 11 is backwards. I have done it twice, and written it out with Xs twice…I know what you mean, so I can do it, but…
