I spotted an adorable pattern on Yarnspirations.com for a Caron Kitty Blanket. The blanket is made up of crochet squares that have cat face embellishments and then the other squares are fun, whimsical and multi-colored. I decided to make a puppy version using the same pattern!
I am following the same pattern as the kitty square as written in THIS Yarnspirations.com pattern. All I did was change the color for the last two rows and then add a different face! The multi-colored squares are also a part of the Caron Kitty Blanket pattern. Ear pattern is written below in this post.
I am using Caron Simply Soft Yarn in colors:
Royal Blue, Taupe, Pistachio, Cool Green, and Off White
Shop all these colors or create your own color combo HERE
Here is a video tutorial for the puppy square:
Puppy Ear Pattern:
Chain 6, HDC in 2nd Chain from hook, HDC across, chain 1, turn (5 HDC)
Row 2-6: HDC across (5 HDC), chain 1, turn
Row 7: HDC decrease, HDC, HDC decrease, continue to SC around and when you get to the top, make a decrease stitch right before Sl St to join, fasten off
Note: It helps to make 2 SC in each bottom corners.
Just change up the embellishments and the colors to make a puppy version! Same pattern, two blankets!
