Happy Taco Tuesday! I’ve got a tiny taco that is easy to crochet! Plus you don’t have to weave in your ends! It measures about 4 inches wide and makes a great keychain. If you have scrap yarn lying around, it will work well for this project. This is truly a 10 minute project (AKA the 10 minute taco!)
Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in colors Saffron (yellow), and a bit of brown, green, and red.
Shop yarn at Yarnspirations.com
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
– 6mm black safety eyes (optional)
– Key Chain – Get them HERE on Amazon
Taco Shell:
With yellow
Magic ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 3: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 4: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 5: 2 SC in first, SC in next 2, repeat around, join, fasten off leaving long tail
Fixings:
With brown
Magic ring, chain 1 and make 6 SC in ring, do not join, pull tight to make a half circle, chain 1, turn
Row 2: 2 SC in first, SC in next 4, 2 SC in last, chain 1, turn
Row 3: SC in each stitch, chain 1, turn
Row 4: 2 SC in each stitch,
Join in green, chain 1
Row 5: skip a stitch, 3 SC in next, skip a stitch, join with slip stitch, skip a stitch, 3 SC in next, skip a stitch, join with slip stitch, repeat until end, fasten off
With long strand of red and tapestry needle, weave strand in and out below lettuce, fasten off and tie ends.
Stuff taco (add a face if desired!) and stitch taco shell closed over fixings.
