Crochet Snow Globe Blanket

July 27, 2021

I couldn’t let the month of July pass by without a Christmas in July Crochet project! I could honestly crochet for Christmas all year long. The feeling of the holidays and the coziness of crochet brings me so much joy and contentment.

This Snow Globe Crochet Blanket is going to be a new holiday must make! The pattern works from the middle outward. The glass ball of the snow globe takes shape, then the circle becomes a square and just by changing colors as you repeat the patterns rounds, you can create the bottom of the snow globe as well as the background of the blanket at the same time!

I’m sure you have figured this out for yourself, but the center of the snow globe can be anything you’d like!! I have included the pattern for the snowman, but you could stitch on an appliqué for a tree, gingerbread man, Santa, holly berries, and much more!

Made with Bernat Super Value Yarn, you can easily change up the colors or add in more embellishments. Shop the wide range of Bernat Super Value shades HERE on Yarnspirations.com.

Thank you to the team and Yarnspirations for the yarn support and monthly collaborations!

I have a short video up on my YouTube Channel that shows how to change the colors to create the base of the snow globe and the background.

Round 18 stumped me too. All references to color “C” should be changed to color “D” (berry). The same for rounds 19-25. Also round 18 is missing the “CH 2” at the beginning.

      Good luck

LOVE the snow globe blanket. It was super easy to make.
I did notice a few mistakes in the instructions on Yarnspirations. I am hoping that these can be fixed for future crocheters.
Rnd 16 – instructions say: * 2DC in next dec. 1 SC in each of the next 8 DC. Should be 1 DC in each of the next 8 DC, also missing the “repeat instructions.
Rnd 18 – Missing the ch2 at the beginning. Also, all references to color “C” should be changed to color “D”.
Rnd 18-25 – All references to color “C” should be changed to color “D”.

Just wanted you to know someone on Etsy is stealing patterns from Yarnspirations and selling them for $4 each. I saw this snow globe pattern posted on there and have reported it. You can do the same, or proceed with whatever you do with people stealing patterns from you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Here is the link to the Etsy post https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1362939840/
