Happy Earth Day! I love celebrating this great planet and I have many past projects that are cute and fun for this special day! Today I am posting a new crochet globe idea that came from one Caron Colorama O’Go yarn in color Baja. This particular O’Go has so many beautiful green and blue hues, you could easily make two globes. And what better name for this project than the O’Globe! O’Go + Globe = O’Globe. As you can see, this is a very rough representation of the continents. Be sure to carry your yarn as you go!
Materials:
– Caron Colorama O’Go in color Baja
Shop O’Go Yarn on Yarnspirations.com!
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Pol-fil Fiber Stuffing
– Tapestry Needle
Finished Size is Approximately 5×5 inches
You will need to separate your O’Go colors first
O’Globe Pattern:
Starting with blue, Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 10 SC in ring, join, chain 1 (10 SC)
Round 2: blue 2 SC in first, green 2 SC in next 2, blue 2 SC in each remaining stitch, join, chain 1 (20 SC)
Round 3: blue 2 SC, 1 SC, green 2 SC, 1 SC, 2 SC, 1 SC, 2 SC, blue 1 SC, 2SC, repeat around, join, chain 1 (30 SC)
Round 4: blue SC 6, green SC 7, blue SC in remaining stitches, join, chain 1

The Stitch Ambassadors are guided on where to focus their attention. O’Go being a brand new yarn format for 2021 was our highest level of attention. The new format is the future as Yarnspirations decided to take a risk on presenting a different format yarn to appease the 80% who responded in a survey that getting started to find the tail ends was a problem.
Like any new product or idea, humans tend to resist change. I have read somewhere that it takes the human mind about 15 days to adjust to something big. Myself, I have been working with O’Go well before the public knew about it and I have come to really adjust my habits. As a person that would have been the 20% of just cutting out tangles or just shrugging my shoulders to the tangles as I feel it’s part of the experience. Though, I have thrown out my fair share of tangled yarn in my lifetime. My patience is low.

Humans, like any new product or idea, resist change. I heard somewhere that the human mind takes about 15 days to acclimate to something significant. I’ve been working with O’Go long before the general public was aware of it, and I’ve had to change my routines as a result. As a human, I would have done the 20% of clipping out tangles or shrugging my shoulders at the tangles because I consider them to be a part of the experience. Having said that, I’ve thrown out my fair share of twisted yarn over the years.
