Are you ready for this Jelly?! I’ve designed this mini crochet jellyfish as a quick project that is multi-functional. The jellyfish works up all in one piece and then you can decided whether you want to stuff it and stitch the bottom closed, or leave it open and use it as a cute little pouch for gifts, toys, and trinkets! So many colors to choose from and so many ways to use this cute and easy crochet jellyfish!
– Red Heart with Love Yarn in color Peach, Red Heart Super Saver in Minty, or Red Heart Super Saver in Coral.
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
– Smalle Strand of black yarn or embroidery thread
– Small button (optional for closure)
– Poly-fil Fiber Stuffing (optional if you want to stuff)
Mini Jellyfish Pattern:
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 8 SC in ring, join, chain 1
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (16 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first, SC in next, repeat around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round4: 2 SC in first, SC in next 2, repeat around, join, chain 1 (32 SC)
Round 5-8: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (32 SC)
Round 9: SC Decrease, SC in next 2, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 10-11: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 12: working in the front loops only, Skip first stitch, 4 HDC in next, skip a stitch and join with slip stitch to next, repeat around making 6 scallops
Now working in the back loops from the previous round, chain 15 and make 2 SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, join with a slip stitch, slip stitch 2 over, chain 18 and make 2 SC in second chain from hook and the rest of the way down chain, join with a slip stitch and slip stitch 2 stitches over to repeat process of making the tenticles (alternating between a chain 15 and a chain 18. Stop after making 6.
Fasten off leaving long tail.
Now you can choose to stuff and stitch your Jelly base together or place a button so it becomes a little pocket, or leave it open and use it as a gift card holder!
