Zoe is 9 years old today! The years are truly flying by. Many of you remember when she was born… actually before she was born when I did a gender reveal with crochet baby booties! And then the many many crochet projects that she has modeled for me ever since. She has been trying to learn how to crochet by practicing some simple stitches. Hopefully this will be the year that it sticks!
Since she was 2 years old, I have been crocheting numbers for her to hold up. Well, except for year 8 because O’Go yarn had just launched and it seemed like the perfect moment to stack two O’Gos together to make an eight. For the rest of the numbers, I used Bernat Blanket Yarn and THIS awesome Crochet Numbers pattern from my friend Tamara at Moogly! I make two of each number and then I crochet the edges together. It makes it sturdy enough for her to hold up in a photo

Which year is your favorite? Just look at her at 4 years old! She is really growing up and doesn’t have that baby face anymore. But she is still my little helper and sidekick!

Next year she will be double digits and I’m not sure if I will continue the number tradition but I will always find fun ways to celebrate birthdays with crochet!
Please help me in wishing her a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
