Hi Sarah and thank you for another great pattern. I am making the large adult size and can’t find where to switch to the yellow yarn. Is it row 10?

Good Morning, Sarah. Adorable hats. Would you happen to be able to provide your crochet gauge and/or finished measurements for the various hats? This would be so helpful in order to make certain that the hats we create are the proper sizes. Thank you so much for all you do for the crocheting community.

I love your patterns and have made your owl, lamb and polar bear hats.
Just one area that I think can improve. Please publish a gauge and/or a finished measurement. It would be so helpful with determining which size to make. I’d hate to gift a hat only to be told it was too small or that it is too big now and may be too small next year.

I know there are still many articles that you are about to write. This is just a little information for you. I’m looking forward to reading the next story.

Hi Sarah:
I love this pattern. The owl hat has become a family tradition. I have made 4 and plan a fifth next winter. I love the idea of the candy corn hat. My only regret is that is no gauge listed in the pattern and there are no measurements for the sizes. It would be nice to see this information.
Linda says
Your pattern says to use white yarn for the braids but the photo shows yellow. I’m doing yellow but you might want to change the instructions. Love the pattern!

The sizes for this hat seem very inaccurate. I started off making the toddler/preschooler one for my 3 year old and it was so small, like it could fit a 3 month old. I was using the correct size yarn and hook too. So I made another hat doing the teen/young adult size pattern and it literally barely fits his head. He has a pretty average sized head so just a heads up for anyone trying to decide what size to make
