I am having so much fun revisiting my Velvet Bear pattern that I designed a few years ago. This one is a Bumblebee Bear! These shades of Bernat Velvet Yarn working perfectly together to make the bear look like he’s dressed up as a bee. I have a few added pattern details below like the antennae headband and the wings.
This BumbleBee Bear is using the same pattern as my Velvet Valentine Bear. DOWNLOAD THE FREE VELVET BEAR PATTERN HERE. This is a free pattern that is available on Yarnspirations.com! The original is in pink with a heart on the tummy, then I made Gingerbread version, and then a Winter Bear version that was in blue with a scarf, and now a Bumblebee! So many ways to customize this cute bear!
Bernat Velvet yarn is lush and velvety and works really well with this project. The bear pattern is designed with mostly Single Crochet stitches with a size H Crochet hook. The pieces crochet quickly with not very many rounds. I have never had issues with this yarn worming or becoming to slippery with this project!
